Jia Jia Tang Bao, Best tang bao in town !

As many of you know, xiao long bao, tang bao are Shanghai specialities.

Again, don't ask me what's the difference between those 2 ! When I say it's xiao long bao, my Chinese friend says it's tang bao...

Well, nevermind !

Last year, with my friend X. we discovered this jewel situated behind People's Park. It's a very local tang bao restaurant.

Super small, just few tables there and ALWAYS crowed !

You can come at 3pm, you will still have to share your table with other customers ! If you want to avoid the crowd... then you can come at 8am.

This tiny restaurant is quite famous for its tang bao. It's not just cheap, but it's awfully delicious !!!

I came back recently and it was full as always. But it's OK, it's going quite fast. When you order, you wait about 10min to get your food ready. So the turnover is fast.

Seaweed & egg soup: I love this soup ! many people may not like the look or the seaweed taste. But it's a light soup and quite tasty !

Tang bao: you have many flavors we chose the basic one: Pork tang bao 13RMB/Dozen (!!) & Crab+Pork tang bao 27RMB/dozen

Everything is sooo tasty !! the crab one, you really sense it. I just love it !!! you just can't stop eating them.

And as you can see the portion are quite big ! and this is really cheap for a really good quality !

I just want to go back again ! But so hard to queue everytime ...

But this is definitely a place you MUST go when you are in Shanghai !

Just note that it's only written in Chinese. But I guess the owner is used to it. A lot of foreigners go there. So I think she just recommend them their best tang bao ! So no worries !
