{Shanghai} The Chowhaus
During a warm afternoon, we went on a walk and arrived near Xujiahui. Precisely near Jiaotong University.
We found out the Chowhaus lounge and decided at 2pm to have lunch.
The interior is quite big and pretty cosy. It's relaxing since nobody was there.
On the menu, an only lunch set at around 70RMB (I just remember it was pretty cheap for the whole thing).
The Chowhaus offers different kind of food: korean, thai, western, chinese...
The menu includes a cup or tea or coffee (but no refill)
Starters: the menu includes an appertizer, a soup and a salad.
You can choose between 2 or 3 choices.
Mozzarella and tomatoes: Well, the mozzarella was something you can buy on supermarket and the tomatoes were quite blend.
Tomyamkun soup: hum...too much mushrooms (yes mushrooms) it was too oily and the sourness was a bit weird. The seafood, well, you know it's frozen seafood
Caesar salad: It was just ok. There were small pieces of bacon when I prefer chicken... but it was fresh !
Main course: you can also choose
Thai chicken curry: It was not bad ! I was already quite full when it arrives...
Dessert: The menu doesn't include any dessert. But I still wanted to try one ! Just FYI, they have afternoon tea too.
Vanilla pudding: it was good ! they even put almonds on it. The only thing is the berries.. please defroze them before serving...
On the overall, it's not an amazing restaurant. But the place is pleasant and the food abundant and cheap.
If you leave near by, you can try it !
