You have some restaurants like that which just blow your mind.

Strasbourg is a very nice and cute city. If you can, you should go during the Xmas period. It's crowded but all the Christmas markets are wonderful. I loved it !

Strasbourg is also well-known for its cuisine. You have many fine restaurants there and much affordable than a table in Paris.

One of them is Lucullus. Not too far from the city center, this is a gem ! Our hotel receptionist didn't know about this address, but we found it out in a women magazine.

The decoration is simple but warm. It's small but you feel comfortable. The Chef's wife/the only waitress (?) was busy but takes the time to answer your questions.

Our table was near the "open window" where you can see the cuisine. I was totally absorbed by it !

Appertizer: For each table who arrive, this nice appertizer is served hot ! that night was a small bread with tomatoes and spinach.

Starter: boudin noir (blood sausage) et salade champêtre It was so fresh ! I just loved it. It was full of flavor. The piece of apple in the salad were cut just before serving and the mushrooms were well roasted. I wish I could it again !

Starter: homemade pâté de foie de canard I just tasted the pâté. You really feel that the Chef used premium ingredients and it really has a homemade taste!

Main course: Coquilles St Jacques (Scallops) with purée de pommes de terre

Main course: Joue de boeuf au vin et carottes: It was a bit too salty to my taste but the beef was melting in my mouth ! I never eaten beef cheeks before but I quite like it !

Sides: I forgot the name of these delicious pasta

And now the sweet part !!! Ok, let me say something. Usually, in a restaurant you can't be satisfied by everything especially when you take a 3 courses meal right ?

But I'm telling you the desserts were as amazing as the starters and main courses !

Crême vanille et madeleines maison: the crême was more like a mousse than a real cream. It was so light ! And the madeleines were with a light orangy taste. Loved it !

Fondant chocolat et sa crême fouettée: Gosh !!! it was just perfect ! really deep chocolate taste but not too sweet and soooo fluffy...

Ah... writting all of this makes me wanna go baaack !!

If you pass by Strasbourg, you MUST go there ! And the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food !

Starters: 13-16euros

Main courses: 17-28euros

Desserts: 8euros

Drinks: 2,5euros for a 1L bottle of sparkling water (won't say the brand) !!! It's super inexpensive ! Usually restaurants take their margin on drinks. But in Strasbourg it's totally different it seems !

I think a glass of wine was around 5euros.

And don't forget to book !! it's absolutely needed !
